thunderbird setup instructions


  • Download Thunderbird here
  • After install of software
  • Open Thunderbird
  • The following should appear
  • Choose Email Account
  • Click Next
  • The following should appear
  • Enter Name (this is what other people will see when you email someone)
  • Enter full email address
  • Then Click Next
  • The Following should appear
  • Click POP3
  • Enter POP3 Server: 209.217.36.7
  • Click Next
  • The following should appear
  • Enter E-mail Address for User Name
  • Click Next
  • The following should appear
  • Click Finished
  • You should then see the following
  • Here you will see the account that has been created
  • Click Server Settings under account
  • The following should appear
  • These are the best personal settings
  • Click Outgoing Server (SMTP) to the left bottom
  • The screen should change to the following
  • Click add or edit (per picture)
  • The following shoul appear
  • Description is the only thing that does not matter on this screen
  • Server Name should be there, if not: 209.217.36.7
  • Port Default is 25, change to 1025
  • Everything else should look like this
  • Click OK
  • Click OK
  • Congratulations!
  • This works for adding a new email or multi-email accounts to Thunderbird
